Homemade S'more Recipe

Last week my husband and I had a few friends over when the temperatures dropped several degrees here in north-central Florida. Anyone who lives in Florida knows that you have to wait quite awhile to see any signs of colder weather. Everyone I know tends to get kind of excited when it finally arrives. Several leaves and branches had piled up on the burn spot in our yard. It was time to light a bon fire to get rid of our yard waste. We got the bright idea to make some homemade s'mores with everyone while keeping warm and sharing good times once the sun went down.
Things You'll Need:
-
Marshmallows
-
6 or more chocolate candy bars
-
1 box of gram crackers
-
Microwave
-
Fire
-
Roasting sticks
Open Flame Method
- Gather together marshmallows, chocolate gram crackers and roasting sticks. Place them near the fire, up off the ground.
- Light the fire, making sure that it is free of any paint materials before you start roasting your marshmallow over it.
- Break off ¼ of the chocolate candy bar and halve your graham cracker. Stick the piece of chocolate between the two graham cracker halves.
- Put the center of the marshmallow on the stick until the you see the top of the stick sticking out the middle.
- Roast over the flame, using the method that works for you. Most people prefer a marshmallow that 's just a touch crisp on all sides. Twirl your stick around, keeping your hands as close to the fire as you can get them without touching it. Light the marshmallow on fire and blow it out if you prefer a crispy outside.
- Place the cooked marshmallow on top of the chocolate, in between the two graham cracker halves.
