Chocolate Filled with Liquor

Chocolate filled with liquor - that's an extreme treat for chocoholics AND drinkers.

Love your drinks like you like your chocolate – nice and strong? Like them both in equal amounts? Then instead of doing a combo with a box of regular old chocolates and drink, go with chocolates with liquor inside them!

Amazon.com has a few brands that make these specialty candies. They tend to get an upswing in orders around the Christmas season, but don’t count them out. Many come in sizable fun packs of 48 like the ones made by VSC stocked with 12 each of chocolates filled with Remy Martin, Stolichnaya, Grand Marnier, or Jim Beam liquor.

Of course if you want more, Anthon Berg offers not one, but two types of alcohol infused chocolate sample platters numbering 64. Yes, 64 little chocolate pieces ready to be savored amongst friends.  These boxes have a random assortment of the various liquors they infuse their chocolates with. Oh and the spirits used are Galliano Herbal Liqueur, Malibu Rum, Sauza Tequila Gold, Grand Marnier Liqueur, Cutty Sark Scotch Whisky, Remy Martin Cognac, Danka Vodka and Caffé Borghetti.

Amazon has supplies still; but even if the supply runs out, the official VSC and Anthon Berg websites offer those and more year round.

Warning about ‘old’ chocolates – if you receive a batch and the chocolate is a light brown…that means the stuff is old. The chocolates won’t taste right, and the alcohol inside them will definitely not. Try to eat the well before their expiry date as they do not last forever!
